Skittles Candy Original Fruit sweets have been around for three decades here in the US. The candies were first marketed under the banner "Taste the Rainbow." And to fit the bill the colors of the sweets were chosen to match the distinctive colors of the rainbow.
The product continues to be hugely popular and rightfully so, for who can resist the scrumptious hard shell morsels with the chewy center. Skittles Original comes in five flavors: Orange, Lemon, Lime, Strawberry and Grape. These flavors were elected by palate of Americans people - actually children more specifically. Alas, could the creators ever improve upon perfection? Well they certainly tried to when they starting adding a few more flavor variations.

Other Skittles flavors have been released to the masses over the past two decades. Some of the tastiest and most sought after flavors include Tropical Skittles, Wild Berry Skittles and Skittles Crazy Core Skittles. Believe it or not Chocolate Skittles released at some point and then discontinued. But who can deny the undeniable attraction to chocolate flavoring even if its just artificial. America would not settle for the loss of a friend. So,the yummy flavor made its way back into the fold but this time in the bundle of Chocolate Skittles Mix.
Mars Snackfoods has experimented with other flavors and products including Ice Cream, Mint, Carnival and Smoothie Mix. The latest and greatest release is the unmistakable Skittles Gum. And no - not just any gum. You guessed right - Bubble gum!
